WHAT IS MNTAC?
The Minnesota Theater Accountability Coalition (MNTAC) is a collection of theater artists in the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul who are looking for ways to create a better standard of working practices for performing artists of all ages in the state of Minnesota. What started as a conversation I wanted to have about safety in our MN theaters evolved into a grassroots community endeavor. This amazing group of volunteers spend thousands of collective hours creating The Minnesota Theater Foundational Standards for Safety and Accountability. We are comprised of theater makers and educators from all areas, including artistic directors and teaching artists, actors and administrators, scene shop carpenters and box office personnel.
